Inflation is crack. The government’s addiction to it is out of control. Look at what they’re doing to the middle class… it’s gone. USUALLY we have corrections for this but the “geniuses” in power are too soft and pathetic to take a stand. Forget inflation.. it’s the asset prices that are the problem. I thank Peter for trying to stand for what is right, but the politicians won’t rewrite their wrongs. But what will be written is history books by people from my generation. I thought the Fed just said ONLY one Rate Cut at end of year. We all know that is going to be nixed later this year as well. Just typical Fed Hedging! Democrats are planning some more Election Fixing. So we still have to wait & see their Fix this time. Either way the American Public is Screwed. Also makes no difference who is elected. Taming inflation, cutting spending and preventing WW3 are likely to get worse!

Peter is actually right. If the FED really wants to bring down inflation as soon as possible they should have increased rates but since we have factors in the economy that are hurting right now aside they will eventually cut rates to sacrifice inflation

Schiff has been calling for the end of the world for over 20 years. Fed doesn't have to do anything anytime soon. We are almost back to normal. They just need to keep unwinding or let the balance sheet mature back down to 2-3 trillion and we're there. Just a reminder: over the last 60 years the 10 yr T-note averaged 5.9%, the average inflation rate was 3.8% and unemployment averaged 5.7%. So even with the higher prints we've seen we are back down below the averages. We are basically back to normal. It just doesn't feel that way when "easy" was all you've ever known coming out of the Bush housing recession.

Canadian inflation has a lot to do with carbon taxes along with increasing inflation on housing due to bad immigrant policy. Canada is in real trouble.
